Should NASA Just Defund SLS Already?

摘要
Nasa announced the Space Launch System way back in September of 2011. It's nearly been 10 years since then, but we have yet to see a launch of SLS. Nasa is hoping to finally do a debut launch of SLS later this year; however, given that they expect each launch to cost over $2 billion. Moreover, SLS is not reusable at all, so should the Space Launch System just be defunded altogether? Well, taking a look back at why SLS was even designed, we'll see that SLS was developed to allow Nasa to finally get humans back to the moon by working in conjunction with the Orion space module. Considering this significant goal and the proximity of Nasa finally completing SLS development, it may make sense to just finish the development of SLS and send humans back to the moon. This video explains the various pros and cons of the Space Launch System and why SLS should not be defunded.
