In fact, Saudi Arabia wasn’t even a county just 100 years ago. Before that, Saudi Arabia was ruled by a bunch of opposing tribes who were caught in a century-long power struggle. The tribe that was in control during the creation of Saudi Arabia and the search for oil was the house of Saud. Thus, they were the ones that profited off the discovery of the oil ocean underneath Saudi Arabia.
