What is a digital conversion? Mooresville Graded School District (MGSD) is a small North Carolina district with approximately 5,800 students, 40% of which receive free or reduced lunch. The school district is known nationally for its digital conversion, offering meaningful instructional tools for every child in grades 3-12 by issuing a MacBook for their use at both home and school, as well as wireless access through libraries, parking lots at school, and special pricing for wireless for families. MGSD ranks second in the state for academic achievement.
Dr. Hill spoke at the Leading Education By Advancing Digital (LEAD) Symposium held at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in September 2012.
