摘要

In America, the number of gig workers is rising, the pace of changing jobs is increasing, and the gap between how much we pay for health care and the quality of health care we receive is growing wider. The current employer-based benefits and healthcare system in the U.S. is a historic relic of post-WWII, and we need a refresh. Today we have an opportunity to break out of the contractor-employee binary and have a conversation about how to create a social safety net that would cover all types of workers regardless of who their employer is or what their worker classification is. This video is from LOWkeynotes: Student presentations on ideas that change lives, organizations, and the world.
