摘要

Mexican archaeologists have discovered a cave beneath the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, which contains more than 200 artefacts, bone fragments and burnt offerings, dating back more than a thousand years, in nearly perfect condition. The archaeologists began exploring the cave after looking for an ancient underground water system, so were surprised to find what they did. They discovered 155 ceramic braziers, which are containers used for burning, as well as incense pots that bear a resemblance to a Central American rain god known as Tlaloc. The experts also uncovered over small clay boxes. Watch the video to learn more. Images are taken from National Geographic and Google Images for educational purposes only.
